--> always prompt for old password

from /etc/passwd

defined at /etc/default/passwd and
it is default 6 and first 8 character are significant

For comparison purposes, an upper case letter and its

o New passwords must differ from the old by at least
three characters. For comparison purposes, an upper
case letter and its corresponding lower case letter are
equivalent.
--> if NIS or NIS+ running then use passwd -r option to change
the local machine password.
--> Remember always NIS pasword and local password are
differnet.
